W. C. Harbour entered the USN at the entry of the US into WWII as a 1st Class Carpenters Mate. Upon the Navy finding he had three degrees they sent him to OCS for a commission.

Bill Harbour entered the USN in 1942 as a Carpenters Mate. Alene went to live with his parents in St. Louis, Missouri. Upon the Navy finding out that Bill had three degrees he was sent to OCS to become and officer.

In 1949 the Bill and Alene Harbour family lived at Dunlap outside Peoria, Illinois on the Vorhese farm. Bill worked as a construction engineer. The picture is Donald Harbour age 6 with the Vorhese collie dog, Lady.
